The Illusion of GEO : Why SEO is the Real Growth Engine

If you don’t know me, I’m an SEO specialist, front-end programmer, and WordPress developer with over 12 years of experience. I’ve been learning and I’m still learning. Check out my website to learn more about me. As someone with all these skills, I can understand the reality of geography, and frankly, it’s an illusion.
Before anything else, I wrote this article based on my perspective on this matter, and of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You’ve probably heard about the term “geo” recently, and it’s often placed in competition with “seo,” which I honestly find strange and amusing.
They say, my friend, that geo is about optimizing your website for artificial intelligence. In other words, you’re optimizing your website and your online presence not for traditional Google, but so that artificial intelligence (like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Google AI Overviews) will choose and recommend you to!
The strange thing is that you’re following certain strategies to gain favor or appear in AI responses when AI itself relies on search engines for its answers! This is incomprehensible. How can I, as a website owner, try to please AI to appear in the answers when it gets those answers from search engines? It’s more important to please the search engines!
So don’t be fooled by the illusion of geography and don’t listen to them. SEO is still the best, and I’ve generated direct sales through AI , documented in a previous article on my website which you can check out, without following any geography practices. So, my friend, learn SEO, follow its strategies, and keep up with the latest search engine algorithms. This is the most important thing to rank high in search results, and then artificial intelligence will search for you.
This was our brief article; if you have another point of view, you are certainly welcome to share it.

A great article from a great person, my regards
